Use of Light in Sculptures
Stewart's text describes using light (in the form of projection and containment) as a great way to convey aesthetic meaning in artwork. I found a recent example of this on display at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This past Friday and Saturday, they held a neon and illuminated light exhibit. What's really interesting is they have no other lights on at the exhibit - all of the art is lit by its own lighting, which can create dramatic shadows and saturation. It's very cool! Might be neat to combine it with a rave haha. Anyways, take a look at the article and you can find out more about this exhibit!
